Welcome to the "Travel Behaviour"

The purpose of this tool is to gain a better understanding of individual transportation preferences in the context of urban growth and sustainability. This survey, inspired by "Factors Correlated with Bicycle Commuting: A Study in Six Small US Cities" by Handy and Xing (2011), intends to investigate the details of urban commuting, specifically the role of cycling in modern transportation. We hope to examine many aspects of respondent’s commuting behavior, such as their preferences, comfort with bike in various situations, safety concerns, and environmental attitudes.

The tool delves deeper into how your personal experiences, health, work environment, and urban infrastructure influences your mobility choices. This investigation is critical for adapting urban design and supporting actions that are consistent with environmental sustainability and public health objectives.

Depending on your answers, we urge you to consider your travel habits and how these might shift towards more sustainable and healthy choices or use your existing habits to encourage others into sustainable urban mobility practices.

Let's find out more about your travel habits.
